The App "Somascape"

The Research Team "Body Memory" is part of the Research Group "Translational Imaging of Cortical Microstructure" at the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research in Tübingen, Germany. We aim at understanding the neuronal mechanisms that underlie human body memories. We use this knowledge to develop new treatment options for mental disorders.

"Somascape" allows users to get a deeper understanding of their bodily symptoms. Via a body diary that is filled out for the duration of 8 weeks, the App uses your submitted information about somatic symptoms and associated impairments in mental wellbeing. Complex algorithms link this data to each other and provide insights on the relationship between bodily symptoms and mental wellbeing.

How to get a registration code?

At the moment, the App is in its first empirical testing phase and can only be started with a registration code that is at present only given to people who participate in our study.

When will "Somascape" be ready for open distribution?

Within 2024, we conduct empirical studies that will help us to optimize "Somascape" for open distribution. We expect that "Somascape" will be openly distributed within 2025.
